Recently recieved ilr and unemployed ???

iv recently been granted ilr and made unemployed due to health issue. i was awarded a large amount of money tax free due to me not being able to do my job . am i able to apply for the benefits available even though i was given a payout ?

If u've got more than 16k u wont get anything till u've spent it. And dont try to hide it or spirit it away, my mate tried that and got caught!
