ILR SUCCESS FOR WIFE (MANY THANKS TO ALL )SPOUSE VISA DONE

Post by SAKSHI007 » Thu Dec 03, 2009 9:18 am

Hi There,

I would like to thank all brothers and sisters in this forum for the success of my Wife’s I L R . It is a great knowledge sharing forum .

MY CASE S AS BELOW NOW .

I am in the UK on a student Visa .
Valid from 2008 till April 2010 .
I got married to my wife on 16 may20O9 in U K .
She had discretionary leave for three years from May 08 till Jan11

SHE RECEIVED ILR ON 19 NOV 09 ON BASES OF 14 YEARS RESIDENCY .
NOW I PLAN TO SWITCH MY VISA TO SPOUSE WITHIN UK .

1 .IS IT POSSOBLE AS I JUST HAVE FIVE MONTH REMAILNING ON MY STUDENT VISA?
2 .DOES HOME OFFICE HAS SAME DAY SERVICE FOR SPOUSE VISA ?
3 .HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE ?.
4 WHAT ARE THE CHANCES OF REJECTION IN MY CASE ?
5 WHAT ARE THE DOCUMENTS I NEED TO PREPARE ?
6 DOES MY WIFE NEED TO GO ALONG IF THERE IS A SAME DAY SERVICE

Many Thanks in Advance
Rachit

1. Yes it's possible. You can pay for the premium service and get your visa approved in one day.

5. you need to show that you are a geniune couple(e-mails, letters, pics, marriage certificate, etc...), have adequate accommodation and enough finances to support yourselves without using public funds. Also, because you're switching from a student visa you need to provide an academic transcript with attendance records.

If you're doing an in person appointment, it's advisable that you have your attendance records. Something written by the university that you are enrolled and a genuine student. They do ask for these when switching from student to spouse in a same day service appointment.

Thanks Vinny and Other ,
I have booked an apppointment for 8th of this month , so cant really arrange any thin gfronm the Uni , except for what I have ( student ID card , bus pass , enrolment letter )
Can I not wrte a written declaration about it and let them know that I have passed all my four subjects and doing my final dessertation)
will that not be enough .
Other thing which is worring me is the bak stateement which are overdrawn for the last 3 , 4 months , any good solution for that .
please advice as I am really worried , could that be a reason of rejection .

Many Thanks

Congratulations!!!! Can I ask, what you used to prove that you were attending uni? Was it your student card and the things you mentioned above? (Just out of curiousity :D)
