Post by vks » Tue Dec 01, 2009 1:49 pm

Hi seniors,

Please could you check the list of documents, I am planning to apply tomorrow by post? I would be happier, if you could kindly provide your feedback!

Documents:

- Bank statements of my joint account for the period 01-Nov-2008 till 30-Oct-2009(I do not have couple of statements, so received them from the bank with stamp and sign)
- Cash ISA statements for maintenance fund - Main applicant(£3600)(for a period more than 3 months, different account for main applicant and dependant applicant)

Note: I am not planning to attach Original degree certificate, as it is the same that I have provided for intial HSMP application.

I sent my documents yesterday. Same scenario. Myself + Wife + Kid.

I had the same set of documents. Only additional thing was, I had put them all in a file with many sections, numbered 1 to 10 and had a document map stuck to the top of the file as to what is in which section.

Eg : Section 1 : Covering Letter
Section 2 : Main application etc...

Not mandatory but will be helpful for the caseworker.

Thanks for the feedback. As you have already noted this, I shall try to include the latest statement until November end.

As per guidance, the earnings period assessment states the following
The applicant can claim points for previous earnings in any single, consecutive 12-month period during the 15 months immediately before the date of applying
So I thought that it would suffice!

Thanks for your response.. Was that a box file that you sent? if that is post, did you put the box file into a box or bubbled envelope?

Eg : Section 1 : Covering Letter
Section 2 : Main application etc...

Not mandatory but will be helpful for the caseworker.

Yes box file with documents arranged in transparent sleves are good way to arrange your documents. Also make your application look good and organised.

Also stress on important points of your application such as maintenance funds documents. Highlight in your cover letter that you are providing separate evidences for you and your dependents etc.

Yes, It was a file from Tesco which had 12 sections inside. I put the file in a bubble wrapped Royal Mail envelope (again from Tesco).

Together both were under 5 quid.

All the best.

It is a type of savings account, which is Tax free...You are eligible for saving around £3600, a year starting April 7th of each year. The next year each individual is eligible for £5000. The amount that I mentioned is only for CASH Instant Savings Account(ISA)

Galileo

The HO Guidance says,

Where formal payslips are produced on plain paper, they MUST be stamped and signed by employer. Payslips which are not on headed paper or if the applicant receives all payslips online, he/she must authenticate the evidence by asking the employer to sign and stamp a printout.
