Gross pay change how to update in the letter from employer

Post by billa_sss » Sat Dec 05, 2009 12:04 pm

Hi,

Recently received hike, increased with large difference. For example
my salary 30,000 pounds per year and now hiked to 35,000 per year. But they paid back pay starting from Jun09 in NOvember09 month sal. But my pay slips look like the table below ( in pounds).

Dec 08 - gross pay -2,500 net pay 2200
Jan 09 - gross pay - 2,500 net pay 2300 (some extra pay mentioned clearly in the pay slips)
Feb 09 - gross pay - 2,500 net pay 2300 (some extra pay)
Mar 09 - gross pay -2,500 net pay 4000 ( bonus included)
...
Oct 09 - gross pay -2,500 net pay 2300 (some extra pay )
Nov 09 - gross pay - 2917 net pay 3500 ( including the back pay)

what should i considered as my gross pay ? Is sum of the gross pay in the pay slips? but letter from employer would state 35,000 pounds as my income.

Please can some clarify this?

Thanks in advance.

Trust the above no or examples not real details..

For GROSS you can take the total that makes from all the Payslips GROSS PAY dont worry abt the letter from employer..

if make sure the NET in the payslips and bankstatments for each month MATCH EXACTLY..

And trust each extra pay is mentioned properly in the payslip like BONUS, Back pay??

As you said,I will consider the sum of my payslips gross amount is equal to my Gross for the Dec-08-Dec-09 year.

Thanks for your clarification. My extra pays are properly mentioned.

For earnings u can choose only 12consecutive months in the last 15months.. so u shd take Jan09 salary to Dec09 Salary period that is from 1st Jan 09 - 31st Dec 09...

it is little confusing as u said Dec 08--Dec09 which will be 13months.. just to be more clear i explained above...
