I thought of that, but finally didn't. I still have enough confidence on Royal Mail first class. Allthough may be in a few weeks I probably have to eat my humble pie, when you guys receive your passport stamped and me still waiting.

Even I thought about it and did not send.

I am wondering now that we have received the reference number, can we request for courier collection? What are your thoughts?

I know we need to fax a form to HO, but am not sure how to arrange for a courier and which one to choose etc? Any thoughts?

Hello everybody,

Just been reading the posts and looks like there are a lot of peeps out here who are in a similar situation like me. So long story cut short.... All the best to everyone !

My situation :
Switching from PSW to Tier 1 General.
App. Posted : 20/11/09
Ref no. received : 23/11/09
The clocks been ticking since then...im afraid.

Anyone else out here who applied on the same date ?
Also, just to share some info with you all, one of my mates received his visa 2 weeks ago ( PSW to tier 1 ) within 2 weeks. Thinking of this gives me some courage n hope...lol

Thanks,
Vik

Well, my hopes are high on Royal mail. So far I have used it N number of times... including passports on many occassions. All were delivered and received fine. so I am hoping on the recorded delivery that they will be using to send the docs back.

Jai Ho royal mail it is then. :-)

That adds another similarity to our (yours, HSMP_maybe's and mine) cases.

I hope we all come a joint first.

Sure HSMP maybe.

I work in The City (right outside Bank Station) and live in Essex. I see you live in Kings Langley. Do you work in the city as well?

Hi, Can you all help please

Post by deveshm » Sun Dec 06, 2009 11:40 am

Hi,

My case has been a sorry tale. I had applied for HSMP visa for self and dependent visa for my wife and kid within UK. I am a Chartered Accountant from India and had a work experience of 6 years 11 months at the time of making application. In UK, my work experience has been of total 20 months at the date of application. My previous visa was work permit sponsored by my employer. I had applied on June 1, 2009 and since then it's been a long ordeal of wait. Between money was debited from my a/c in last week of June. Further my kid's recent photo was asked for in first week of July. My OISC consultant assured me that it means that my application is successful and the reason that they have asked for recent photo of my son is to scan and put it in visa. That was 10th July and since then it's been an endless wait to get back passports. I have consistently tried to approach my consultant as well as home office for update and they have stuck to 1 line "THE APPLICANT IS BEING SELECTED FOR EXTENDED CHECKS". Between i moved house and every utility/medical service required passport for identification as i do not have a UK driving license. When i literally begged Home office for mercy, they issued a letter to concerned authorities that my passport is held by Home office for visa purposes. While this atleast confirmed that my passport is not lost, I am clueless as to when is this ordeal going to end and what do I need to do. Please help with your or some known person's experience.
