PBS Dependent Visa-from outside UK

Post by KiranKodati » Sat Dec 05, 2009 2:05 pm

Hi,
I am main applicant (currently in Tokyo) and got Tier 1 visa in July end. But I did not go to UK as I do not have a job at time time. I planned to move to UK after I get any offer letter. So I didnt apply for dependent visa for my wife and 1.5yr old son.

Now, I got job in UK (thru telephonic interview from UK) and they will send offer letter in courier. Now I am planning to apply for dependent visas for both (wife and son) from Tokyo before leaving from here.

So, what documents are needed for dependent visa, thought main applicant is also out of UK.

As per my understanding,
1. VAF10
2. Marriage cert, Birth cert for son
3. Both passports
4. Maintenance funds proof
5. Mainapplicant visa page, passport copy

Do they need salary slips or employment proof of current or new offer letter from UK?

In VAF10, under mainapplicant details, there are some columns which are required if he is in UK, shall I leave them blank? or keep as NA?

Thank you for your time

Regards
Kiran

Thank you for your comments and wishes!

So what Iunderstand is:
1) They do *not* require my salary slips and offer letter now, income proofs etc
2) I can apply for dependent visa even main applicant is outside UK

Any idea how long it will take to get approval for dependent visas?

Thank you again.
