PSW for student pilot

Post by lin » Sun Dec 06, 2009 3:54 pm

Hi,

My hubby is currently studying for Private Pilot Licence (PPL) now and will apply for his student visa by sept next year through Cabair to progress to Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL). As this is not a straight forward taught courses like degree/masters, can he still apply for psw after he finished?

Another thing is, i am holding psw until oct 2010 and since he is my spouse, he is currently on the dependent visa. Once he switches to student visa next year, i will then be his dependent, hoping to carry on to further psw if he qualify, any ideas?

No professional qualifications get PSW at the moment.

HSMP is now Tier 1 and requires a Masters Degree.

anyhoo, there's a top up degree course after CPL (BSc in Aviation Technology), if he complete this too, will he qualify for PSW bearing in mind I had one before?

I dont see why not but bear in mind the strigent funds requirements for dependents and u'd have to switch out-of-country.
