I don't really think I have a problem with it....high_aimer wrote:Pakistanis are more likely to be turned down for visas
to visit the UK than any other nationals, figures show.
Eye opener figures of visa refusals from Pakistan. This report only mentions family visitors but as you all know there are many more visa refusals in other categories.
I just we all get united to make our voice heard against this discrimination. Writing to our local MP's and contacting media could be the starting points.

Count me in as well. My parents-in-law and sister-in-law have been trying to get a visit visa (tourist initially, and family visitor now) and they have been rejected both times for no obvious reasons, despite showing property and cash account balances of the tune of £350,000 in Islamabad.high_aimer wrote:Pakistanis are more likely to be turned down for visas to visit the UK than any other nationals, figures show.

You ever thought that maybe more Pakistanis don't submit everything that is needed that you are claiming? Or perhaps that, as is the case with at least 2 cases on this forum at the moment - both of whom have posted in this thread, that sufficient proof has not been provided of the visitor(s) intention to return after the visit? Or how about most of the bogus students being from Pakistan?high_aimer wrote:Why do I believe Pakistanis are being discriminated against?
In addition to the news story quoted above, here is why:
- In April, this year, I applied for my mother-in-law's visit visa so that she could join us for couple of months when we were expecting our second son
- BHC rejected her visa saying she had not attached her employment details, when she had clearly mentioned in the application form that she was a house wife. I appealed against the decision that we won in November.
- This stupid decision of their caused us a lot of stress at that time.
- When our son was 2 months old we travelled to Pakistan thinking we'll apply for little one's visa from there
- I submitted the application and after waiting for a month I came back to the UK alone leaving my whole family back
- After taking almost 3 months, they rejected my 5 months old, UK born son's visa by saying that my visa copy was not included in the application
- Surprisingly the copy of my visa was even included in the application pack my wife collected from Gerry's
- After I raised this stupid decision to their head office here, they overturned their decision and asked us to resubmit the passport
- The passport is now sitting with them for last 2 weeks and I know from this forum that people are waiting for months to get their passports back after their successful appeals
In the context of this situation when I look at visas being granted in other countries, I do feel strongly that Pakistanis are being discriminated against!
Just to mention, I've been working for a UK bank for last 6 years and contributing to the economy, like all of you guys do. I know I am not the only one affected by this discrimination, their are hundreds, if not thousands, of families suffering due to their stupid decisions.
Sorry to say but, how can it be proved that Pakistani's are "specialists" of concealing information when it comes to Visa Applications ?meats wrote:You ever thought that maybe more Pakistanis don't submit everything that is needed that you are claiming? Stop pretending that you're the victim in all of this as this is what drives people against immigrants.
As i said, 2 of the people in this thread have said what they gave and what the rejection said. On the evidence provided then the rejection was correct - no evidence was provided showing that there was a genuine reason to return home. That's not discrimination, the same would happen with a 'visitor' from all visa nationals if no evidence or proof of return was presented.bym007 wrote:Sorry to say but, how can it be proved that Pakistani's are "specialists" of concealing information when it comes to Visa Applications ?meats wrote:You ever thought that maybe more Pakistanis don't submit everything that is needed that you are claiming? Also we are talking about Family Visit Visas in this thread, not some "bogus student visa". Lets keep discussion of that to another thread.
Many thanks!
What is a sufficent evidence which can prove this .The evidence which other nations give and Pakistanis don't.... 14% Indian visit visa rejected and 41 % Pakistani ..no evidence was provided showing that there was a genuine reason to return home.
Why don't you have a read through the threads by the Indians and see what additional information they give? No, instead you're quite happy to whip out the race card like usual when something doesn't go your way.Rain wrote:@meatsWhat is a sufficent evidence which can prove this .The evidence which other nations give and Pakistanis don't.... 14% Indian visit visa rejected and 41 % Pakistani ..no evidence was provided showing that there was a genuine reason to return home.
What is that evidence which indians provide and we dont ??
Well it is seeing as you're now accusing whatever 'nationality' i am of running a significant amount of these bogus colleges. It's fairly clear that you've got a nationality in mind, so cough up.high_aimer wrote:Not relevant, as I said lets stick to the topic.meats wrote:So please do tell me, where am i from?
Far from baseless, as i said 2 people's applications on this thread were refused as sufficient evidence wasn't provided. You're now claiming that it was rejected because of discrimination yet sufficient evidence of the 'visitor' returning home wasn't provided.high_aimer wrote:@Meats - mate you are making a baseless assumption there that Pakistanis don't read guidance notes or don't go through forums to see what they need to attach with their applications.
Based on this I think you are not making any sense. So either say something well grounded on this topic or stop criticising others for no reason.
I thought you knew the holygrail of additional information ! honestly i am not playing race card . I am just asking what is that "acceptable" proof that visitors will return back home .Why don't you have a read through the threads by the Indians and see what additional information they give? Let's see, for starters, a job, family, property. No evidence of any of that was provided, in one case she had retired (fair enough) but no evidence of family or property in Pakistan was provided showing that she had reason to return home. As such it is quite clear to see why, according to the laws in place, that the visa was rejected.Rain wrote:@meatsI thought you knew the holygrail of additional information ! honestly i am not playing race card . Where does someone say in this message that they "failed" to provide relevant information to their BHC office ?[/quote]bym007 wrote:You ever thought that maybe more Pakistanis don't submit everything that is needed that you are claiming? The fact that her husband was there backhome itself is a good enough reason for her to return to her home arguably!meats wrote:Let's see, for starters, a job, family, property.
