Time line for ILR eligibility

Post by gidoc » Thu Dec 17, 2009 8:41 pm

Hi all,
Please resolve following query;

Entered UK 6/04/05; EC began from 1/04/05
First employment on WP began from 15/04/05 ended 15/04/06
WP renewed with another employer 10/04/05, gap of 9 days and second employment began 24/04/06 and is now permanent. Gap was covered by an extra month's salary from first employer. Switched to HSMP and then to Tier 1.

1.Can I get ILR from 05/04/10? or will it be from 15/04 when employment began?
2.Will 9 days of gap between forst and second job matter in the above time line?
3. If I apply for ILR in June will it be backdated to April??
4. My dependents entered in June 2005, should I apply for all in April 2010 or wait till June 2010?

Many thanks for your help.

i think you can apply based on the entry date 6/4/5, so anytime starting from 28days before that date you should be fine. i dont think the 9day gap will be an issue. you had valid 'leave' throughout.

Your dependents can apply at the same time as yourselves in March 2010. If you applied in June ILR will NOT be backdated.
