Advice needed..regarding funds

Post by pswques » Sun Dec 20, 2009 11:03 am

Hello,

I'm going to apply for PSW in Jan and have some queries regarding that.

1. I'm showing funds from 19th sept 2009 to 21th dec 2009, for which i am using 2 of my accounts (one uk and one overseas)

My overseas account had balance of £1500 from 18th sept to 28th oct
and UK account had balance of £1400 from 27th oct to 21th dec.

I was wondering whether i have to show full 3month statements from both the accounts or i can just show statement of accounts where they are above £800, lik 1month 10days for overseas account and remaining 2months for uk account.

2. How should i present the funds so that its not confusing for home office? Should staple all the statements with a covering letter showing curreny conversions from overseas account?

3. Do i need to send a confirmation letter from bank even with the original bank statements?

4. Should i explain details regarding 2 accounts for funds in cover letter, telling above £800 dates for both account?

5. How should i show the currency conversion for my overseas account?

6. Do i need to submit anything other than following documents:
-Cover Letter
-Application Form
-Passport
-2 passport size photographs in envelope (stappled where stated on form)
-PSW letter from university
-Original transcripts
-Award Certificate
-Bank Statements for Overseas account
-Bank statements for uk account

Please reply soon,

Thanks..

1. I am not too sure about showing from TWO different account. I think You should show a minimum balance of GBP 800 from ONLY ONE account.

2.Please refer to the poliy guidance about information required on the statements.. make sure all that information is available on every statement. Yeah.. a covering letter for the whole application, which includes the Conversion rate used and what web site u referred to for the conversionr rate (www.oanda.com may be is good). would be nice.

3. Including a confirmation letter (contents of this letter again to be reffered to policy guidance) should help.

4. Not sure about TWO accounts

5. referring to www.oanda.co should be good

6. Pretty much it .. infact some proofs are duplicates.. which should be OK.
