Are you asking for Tier-1? Passport is accepted for Age proof. Read guidance notes.

I had applied for PSW and IGS.

For Tier-1, did you checked Guidance NotesPage 17 Point 72(i)?

Obviously OP is not reading Guidance notes in the first instance which is advisable.

People first should do some home work before they post! Some guidance should be followed by those who answer the queries as well. Agreed the forum is to help! But we should provide some guidance to the individuals seeking answers

Yeah, that is right. Having said so, we have seen several cases here where Tier 1 application was rejected because of a simple mistake, e.g., submitting unattested online bank statement, unrelated earning evidences, etc. So, both things go together, stupid questions make more sense than stupid mistakes, at the same time one should have done home work before spending a huge amount of money for Tier 1.

Dear All.

http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/siteco ... iew=Binary

Evidence Required
The applicant must submit specified evidence in the form of:
• Their original birth certificate; or
• Their original full driving licence.

I am in this website trying to gain some knowledge....
thats what every one here is for...
my apologies if I ask a stupid question...

http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/siteco ... idance.pdf

that remind of something I heard ages back
(Ask a stupid question you look stupid for 5 mins and everone laughs at you...
if you dont ask the stupid question --- you will never know the answer...
YOU are a fool for a Lifetime...)
I would rather not be a fool :)

No offence on anyone who replied asking me to read the Guidance.
I do understand that your comment is Justified.

thanks again..
you all have been great help..

Advice to read guidance was not about the asking stupid question or making you look fool but to help you get first hand experience of what is required. I am taught in school to read the chapter before going into class so that it make more sense when teacher explain the topic. The same goes here too and the intention behind these advices was to help you get clearer idea when people reply your queries. You read the guidance, you ask question, people reply your queries and the process will help you to understand clear picture of what is required. As mentioned by mvent, efforts from you and assistance from forum members goes hand-in-hand.

The links you have provided is of HSMP, which is no more relevant. Follow the Tier-1 Guidance notes.

Dear All...
and Chetanojha...

Thank you... point noted..... My apologies...

Clarification...
SO just to double check....

can you please confirm .....

a)no birth certificate needed... for Tier 1

b)HMSP guidance is now useless... for Tier 1

I have read a lot of documention and am worried about the outcome..
I do understand I might be repeating things and taking valuable time of
members who are here for helping .

I am just plain confused

thanks

a)no birth certificate needed... for Tier 1 Yes

b)HMSP guidance is now useless... for Tier 1 Yes. Use Tier-1 Guidance instead.Quite strange HO has still kept old links alive.

I am just plain confused Forget everything about HSMP. Just think Tier-1(G) and only Tier-1(G).

All you need is:

1. Age: Passport
2. Qualification: Master's Degree Certificate(should be listed in PBS calculator)
3. English language: Master Degree should be there in PBS list.
4. Earnings: Payslips+Bank Statements.
5. Maintenance funds: Bank Statement of last 3 months.

thanks

You have no Idea how many people I have dealt with..
Consultants.. freinds...
and somehow... I have a real liking and understanding towards all you guys...

thanks everyone...

I am going to apply for the Tier 1 G soon.

Wish US the best of Luck and thanks again for all the perfect answers..
( i hope all are correct :) )
