previous earnings in family business

Post by Obalende » Tue Dec 22, 2009 9:26 am

Supoose my Name is Xian Xu. Suppose I have a Company Xian Xu Trading Co. Ltd. Suppose a Tier 1 General applicant who is a son has been employed by Xian Xu Trading Co. Ltd, and earned £12,000 in 6 months. Can this experience be used to apply for Tier 1 visa or will it be rejected on the ground of being family business.

Thanks.

Why there should be any problem working in a family business?

Assuming the son has full right to work and do business in UK he can claim point from family business as employee if the father paid him salary and paid all NI and taxes etc.

Is the son is director or share holder of the company as well? He can get dividend if he is shareholder. You need to give more information in order to get better advice.

Cheers

Why not? Son have to make sure to provide all corroborative evidences of earnings. Logically all ltd companies used for billing by contractors are nothing more than family businesses.
