Calling Parrents and in-law during Wife's Pregnancy.

Dear All,

I was going thru one of the previous post, where Raj wanted to call his parents and in-laws to support his wife during her pregnancy. Discussion kicked off well, but I did not see the closure for this issue (don't know if Raj was able to call them successfully).

To give you an insight about my situation:

• I am on Tier-1, got my extension few days back and VISA is valid till Feb 2013.
• My wife is on Tier-1 dependant VISA and is working.
• She will go on Maternity leave from March.
• We are staying in 3 BHK.
• I would like to call my parents as well as my in-laws.
• I can show around 4K-5K in my bank account.
• My wife can also show around 2K-3K in her account.


So can you guys please help me with following questions:

1. Should I and my wife call our parents separately on different applications?
2. Should my wife also issue a sponsorship letter and her bank balance for her parents?
3. Can my wife do this (as she is on dependent visa)?
4. What dates should we call them (on same dates or different dates)?
5. What all documents should we present?
6. Should I give rent agreement / council tax / utility bills / salary slips etc to HO?
7. Any other letter / sponsorship that that I need to present?
8. Which form do I need to fill?
9. I am staying in 3 BHK, so should that be fine?
10. How much of bank balance do I need to show?
11. Will my parents and in-laws also need to show their bank balance in India?
12. Can I use any agent in India or do they need to go in person for VISA applications?
13. How much time will it take for them to get their VISA (if they apply on 1st Feb. when can we expect to get their VISA)?
14. Sorry for the long list of questions, just wanted to ensure that I have covered all my questions and concerns.
15. An early response will be highly appreciated, as I am planning to call them in next 2-3 weeks.
