I am eager to update the excel sheet as well but.....

Ref no-0124**
recd the original documents on 5th May at the UK address i requested.
Decision letter was posted to my address in India on 4th May.....still waiting for the same....I m worried that it does not take so long for mail to reach 15 days +...contacted HSMP and requested to fax the decision letter or resend the same-----should wait for 2 more weeks before anything can be done was their reply.....

Has anyone in India recd the decision letter shortly. Pls let me know in how many days was it recd...? Any suggestions on what I should do will be helpful.....Thanks..

Here's the data I have for applicants from India
Accept_Date Receive_Acceptance Name
18.3.04 27.3.04 uvnkk
1.4.04 6.5.04 (estimate) dokwal
17.4.04 28.4.04 (estimate) anjalik

So anywhere from 9 days to a month...

Fortunately you did get your documents back. Perhaps they'd be willing to send a copy of the acceptance letter to the nearest consulate?

Best of luck,

Mike

17.04.04 - HSMP decision made (approved) and passports / application forwarded to Incountry team
18.05.04 - Leave to Remain decision made (valid from 19.05.04 for 1 year)

reply from hsmp

Post by fuman » Mon May 24, 2004 4:46 pm

Got a reply from hsmp, now awaiting for the decision letter. My ref:133xx, filed on Feb.19,04.

Dear ....

Thank you for your recent E-mail. I can confirm that a decision was made on your application on: 19/05/2004. Your original documents & the HSMP decision letter were despatched to you that day by 1st class airmail. Any responses to this E-mail should be sent to: hsmp.workpermits@wpuk.gov.uk, NOT this address.

Kind Regards

HSMP

Hi LA_MIKE,

I took a look at your spreadsheet and noticed that you added my listing. (thanks!) I think there is a small mistake in the Submit Date - the date that my credit card was charged was May 13, 2004. (app. was sent 5/8/04). Not sure of how to get my reference number...

Thanks,
sukate

Add me to the list!!!!

Post by Melyni » Mon May 24, 2004 11:06 pm

Hi Mike... You can add me to the "completed" list. I received my approval letter today, May 24. The approval date is May 18. Just under 3 months from my Feb 20 application date.

Thanks for updating the grid and helping us all hold on to our sanity during the seemingly endless wait!

Best wishes to you!

Congrats Melyni!

Sukate, I put your estimated submit date as 1 day before the credit card got charged since that appears to be the normal delay.

You should be able to get your reference number by requesting it from hsmp.workpermits@wpuk.gov.uk, although unless it's been more than the published processing time (currently around 90 days) or you have reason to request urgent treatment this is discouraged.

Based on the rate of increase in processing times I'd expect your application to be processed around 105 days after submission or around Jun 25 give or take a couple of weeks.

Submit date

Post by sukate » Tue May 25, 2004 5:50 pm

LA_MIKE,

I was just noting that on the spreadsheet, the submit date should be May 12th, not March 12th.

Thanks for the info about the reference number.

colleagues

am still waiting, called my agent, they told me that i have to wait for another four weeks, was very disappointed. they told me that they have only received responses on applications made on the 1st of May, yet on this forum people who have applied on the 20th have received their responses, What doe this mean.

the good news theough is that my wife finaly got a job, perfectly in line with her qualification, outside london. the issue worrying us now is whether I should apply for the depended passport, using her letter of appointment and the payslips of her last job together with her bank statement that have some funds slightly below 3k. I need your help.

if i go ahead and apply for the dependent permit and say turned down, will that not affect my hsmp application if say it is approved. can i use a certified copy of my marriage certificate since the orriginal is with the HO

Please help.

Tryafrica, I frankly wouldn't read anything into the fact that your consultants haven't heard back from any applications after February 1 other than that they probably don't have many clients.

Extrapolating from the data I have (you can do this yourself on the "Processing Time Estimator" tab on the excel spreadsheet), I'd put your likely acceptance date around June 2. Next Monday is a bank holiday in the UK so it might slip a bit, but I'd say 1-2 weeks, rather than "up to 4".

Best of luck, and congratulations to your wife.

Applied 08/03 through an agent

Post by RajeevC » Thu May 27, 2004 4:18 pm

Good Day Mike,

Could you please add me on to the list.
I applied on the 08/03 through a consultant. Sent a permanent Job-offer letter on 15/04. Nothing received back from them yet. Consultant says he has been chasing them, but still awaiting a reply. Probably due anytime now.

Anyone else faced similar experiences?

I am going to apply in a few days.
But my question is Is it possible to apply online????
Do you think I will have less chance if I apply online as my documens will be scanned (not hard copies)?

Thank you all of you in advance.

You have to send originals/attested copies so scanning is a no-go!
