It is known issue that one may not be able to book an appointment, as there is a high demand for this facility (which is what UKBA says)

Call the PEO on tuesday morning and try your luck with call centers. The two systems are different, which I learnt when I called. It may take quite a while to get the line!

I personally decided to send it via post, after searching for 6 weeks.

Thanks a lot,

for Prompt Reply. Could you please provide me contact number of PEO ?
I have not heard much about PEO, where can i find information about it.
Actually my Visa Expires on 13th March. that's why i need to be hurry. I think Postal application would not be processed that soon.

The current processing times are about 25 days in an average. If your Visa expires on 13th March, there is a high probability that you will get your Visa stamped before that, if you send by the middle of January by post.

In my opinion, unless there is a need (like urgent travel required etc), postal application is easier, cheaper and quicker (considering the time you have to wait for your appointment date). I posted mine on 30th November and my Visa was stamped on 22nd December.

Again I understand that indvidual situations differ. But if you think the only reason for you to consider online is time, then I guess you have it in plenty.

Hey VKS,

I am impressed by your way of communication.I am just hurrying so avoid any surprises. If they deny or reject the application. Then i should have sometime. But yes, i got the answer that i can use the postal option, which cheaper.

Thanks a lot.

Salary

Post by hbpank » Mon Jan 04, 2010 2:22 pm

Hi VKS,

One more question.
I was laid off in last december. So my december salary which i got in January. Contains my Holiday pay and my Notic period as well.

1) Can Holiday pay and my Notice period amount be considered as my earning ?

Not sure of the holiday pay. But payments in lieu of notice (p22, point 121) is considered.

Hi - Just my experience to add:

I looked for approximately 6 weeks straight to book an appointment....in all locations, all times/days.

I never even saw an available slot and ended up applying by post. The only time I ever saw any availability was last week (week between Christmas and New Years) which were too late for me - my visa would already have expired.

I think the agents get all the slots, and then sell them/their services.

Seems very wrong to me.

Online Appointment

Post by choled60 » Sat Jan 16, 2010 3:14 am

Hi,
It is easier to get online booking if you know the trick. For example, I got an appointment for 23/02/2010 and cancelled it and got another another family booking the same day. You can contact me on for the strategy used.

Well is this a joke, whenever I call the number 0870 606 7766 to get an appointment, there is a message asking me to apply online.

When I login online, there are absolutely NO appointment available!!!

How on earth are we supposed to book the appointment? Getting pissed off! been trying since a week.

So how do we get an appoinement then?

If we get at some other location, what is the procedure to re-schedule the appointment?

Nope,

I thought there is no point in wasteing money over Phoneing them every next day. Rather than that applied by Post.

if you have 2 months time. then you can take that chance.
Here, i am just trying to see , if my application would be Rejected then How to get Re-Appointment ?
