PSW Application Envelope Questions - Must to do

Post by sm-ali » Fri Jan 08, 2010 7:43 pm

Could anyone please tell me the answers of following questions:

1) What kind of envelope we have to use?
2) Do we use stapler for attaching statements pages or other documents?
3) If sending 2 application at the same time how to keep application form in envelope, tie them with stapler or just use paper clips?
4) do we need to make summary letter or cover letter?
5) what is the order of documents? for e.g. Postal order, Letter of Award etc?

I would appreciate your answers, as I am going to apply soon may be tomorrow!

Thanks

1. If applying from within UK... Special Delivery envelope should be good enough
2. Better to use paper clips .. this was my choice
3. Paper Clips should be good enough
4. Although i didn't have any serious case... I stil included one... however.. it does make sense to not include a letter.. it reduces unnecessary reading for the case worker. However it is your choice.
5. It is a Requirement that Postal Orders are placed on top. Because the fees are processed at the very first and it is handled by a different agency.
So Logically (Considering, ease of preparing the package)
- Main Applicant Passport
- All Postal Orders
- Main Applicant application
- Dependant 1 Passport
- Dependant application 1
.
.
- Dependant n passport
- Dependant application n
- Qualification proofs
- Maintenance funds proofs
(This is how I have/would have arranged, I didn't have any dependent applications)

Do I need to highlight start and end dates in Bank Statement? I am attaching 6 month statement since our bank does not provide quarterly statement. I am also preparing cover letter in which I have mentioned start and end dates in order to let them know.
Thanks

highlighting is fine but you want the originals to stay original. Highlighting may jeopardise that and the ECO may think you've tampered with it. I would leave it alone.

BETTER STILL stick post-it notes on the dates you want to show him because those can be removed easily.
