Maintenance Funds Calculation

Hi everyone
This forum really helping me in my wifes' visa process

Now my question is as of international student on Tier 4 Sponsor.Just adding a bit of background that might help.

I got my extension for 2 years under new Tier 4 Policy in Dec 2009,As of new Tier 4 policy a student must have his full one year fee plus maintenance fund in advance to get 10 points,and now I wish to apply student dependent visa for my wife under PBS Policy for that it states that there should be 400 Pounds for each 9 months in advance for her funds,So now my question is that the statment which I am going to show should be how much , I wil show this by example

My Years fee 2500
Fee Paid 700
Maintenance Fund 5400

Total 7200 that what was there in my account when I got xtension

Now if I add 3600 for wifes' funds the bank statment comes to 10800

So as I have already used some of my funds to pay rent and other expenses after my extension so its reduced from 5400 pounds ,so how much the statement should be shown this time? I have got around 10K in my account .
Confusing me abit

Asa of my review you should show 2500+5400+3600=11500 just to secure your visa, as ECO some time will not consider what money has paid in advance, as in my case and the case of many others it happens to me that ECO are very innocent people they dont go for explanantions and possibly dont understands your position. so have a opinion of others but consider mine as well. Wish you good in days to come

Have you applied for dependent visa before ?

Nope i have no any dependant with me but i assume that Entry Clearance officers are innocent people and they are taught to follow the policy, they dont believe on logics, they dont tend to go inside of the applications. To me for example if you want to tell ECO that there are three coloured ball points at a table, he will not get it, you have to say that there are three coloured ball points (Blue black and red) at the table.
Try to look at your application and supporting documents with this aapproch. becaue TIER Visa is formula based Visa.

2+2=4 not 2+2 comes 4
