Can FIXED DEPOSIT work as financial evidence - Urgent

Hi friends

let me know if i added my name in FIXED DEPOSIT can it be showed as financial evidence while applying for student dependent visa - as my visa had been refused on lack of finance in bank - and if i borrow money in cash should I deposit directly in bank (2 lac) as we cant show source of found or it will be better to make an FD in my name and then show it??????
