Do I need to re-enter? (HSMP to Tier 1 extension)

Do I need to re-enter? (HSMP to Tier 1 extension)

I'm going to be extending my HSMP visa to Tier 1, will I need to leave and re-enter the country with the new visa, or will they just process that because they'll have my passport?

If you are switching, then you may remain within the UK. No need to depart and re-enter.

Extention from HSMP to Tier 1 does not require you to leave the country.
