Hi Kamal,kamal_ece wrote:Hi Ramesh,
Just to add for the Maintenace period information. The last Bank Statement original i received was 12 oct 2009 to 11 November 2009.
Today I collected the attested copies of the statements from Sept 2009 to to date.
So in this case do I need to do anything more to justify the points in this category? Please advise.
Regards,
Kamal
kamal_ece wrote:Earnings
For the month of Jan I don't have the regular/original monthly bank statements. My monthly cycle bank statements starts from 12 of every month to the 12th of next month. For example for the month of January it starts from 12 January to 12th Feb.
Below are the details I have to prove points in category Earnings and Maintenace of Funds:
Bank Dates Bank Statments Payslip
---------- -------------- -------
12 Nov 2008 - 12 Dec 2008 --> Original Use this Original
12 Dec 2008 - 12 Jan 2009 --> Original Use this Original
01 Jan 2009 - 29 Jan 2009 --> Received from Bank today via post Original Do i need to use this? If i use this Will there be any question by case worker related to the missing period of Jan Put this seperately and explain in covering letter 30th to Feb 11th 2009?
01 Jan 2009 - 27 Feb 2009 --> Attested Copies Use this Do I need to use this?
12 Feb 2009 - 12 Mar 2009 --> Original Use this Original
12 Mar 2009 - 12 Apr 2009 --> Original Use this
Original
12 Apr 2009 - 12 May 2009 --> Original Use this Original
12 May 2009 - 12 Jun 2009 --> Original Use this Original
12 Jun 2009 - 12 Jul 2009 --> Original Use this Original
12 Jul 2009 - 12 Aug 2009 --> Original Use this Original
12 Aug 2009 - 12 Sep 2009 --> Original Use this Original
12 Sep 2009 - 12 Oct 2009 --> Original Use this Original
12 Oct 2009 - 12 Nov 2009 --> Original Use this Original
01 Nov 2009 - 31 Dec 2009 --> Use this Received from Bank today via post Original
12 Sept 2009 - to date --> Attested Copies of the transactions.
- I took this because I could prove my maintance of Funds. Dont put this as you do not need seperate bank statements for previous income and maintenance
Attested means :
There is a stamp like this : "This certifies that this is a true copy of the original Natwest ######" signed by the Manager. I did ensure that I take the Manager Visiting Card as well. # = Post Code of the Bank branch. Did you mean sort code?
Is this a relevant/acceptable document to the Home Office?
This should be fine
seeing the above case I'm confused how best I can represent myself in this category to convince that I have got everything to achive the max points in Earnings category and also for Maintenence of funds.
Hope I was clear to explain this now. Please help me gurus. I'm in dire need of help. I wish I could speak to someone for better clarifications but I do completely understand this might violate the rules of any forum.
Below lines are irrelevant but like to share with all. May be my experience could be useful to others.
Why did this all happen?
I approached 2 branches of Natwest and they turned me down for Bank Statements attested. One Bank even raised the request to re-send the bank statements on Jan 2nd 2010. I called Natwest on Jan 5th 2010 to check the status of the documents. They said there was no such request. She logged in one more request and few days later the same issue. I got fired up and escalated. They took this long to send the Bank statements.
Why did I go to Bank?
I was panicked and went to bank today to get the documents attested as the request to send the bank statements was getting delayed.
While I was getting the online statements attested I received the docuemnts in post today.
Regards,
Kamal.

Hope this is acceptable. Let em know ur thoughts.
Hi Kamal,kamal_ece wrote:1. Printed statements you got from the bank branch, did it have just the stamp 'This is a true copy of the original copy of the bank transactions, Natwest ##########' or the stamp with sortcode.
There is a stamp "This certifies that this is a true copy of the original natwest postcode" signed by the Manager. I did ensure that I take the Manager Visiting Card as well. Gurus, can you please advise if this is acceptable by HO as valid proof?
2. How did you order original bank statements? Did u order them by phone or did u order them in the branch.
Ans : I ordered them over phone. Please do make sure if you order them do them well in advance. It takes atleast 5 to 8 days to receive these documents.
3. Did they charge you for the original statements to send by post?
Ans : NO
4. How long did it take for the statements to arrive by post?
Ans : 8 days. We need to be behind them to check if this sorted out for you or not.

kamal_ece wrote:The statements you got printed from the bank and got it signed and stamped, do they have your name on them or it is just account number?
ANS: They have just my account number only. Heading View Bank Statement. Its a Black and White prints only. No Colours as you get via post regularly(monthly) and then the transactions.
What the Manager did was when she tried to take the prints using thier bank software initially, they weren't looking any good.
So what she did was, asked me to log in into my online account and she took the prints.
I can see only my account number. She took one more Printout from thier bank software where the details of my account number, sort code, my Address are clearly mentioned and also attested the same paper.
I also took the Manager the Visiting card and asked her if HO would contact her for any reason for checking. She said its okay to contact her.
Not sure Aruni why you asked this question, do you see any problem?
Even I have the same problem. I have taken some statements from Natwest and they do not have my name printed on it. So I was just wondering if this is OK. Ramesh, can you please shed some light on this?
Thank you Ramesh. I have crossed checked the Net Amounts in payslip and Bank Statements. They are fine. Yes rest of the other documents are also captured.
Regards,
Kamal.
#kamal_ece wrote:Not sure why you term it as a problem.
I think someone in the group might have faced simmillar situation and could give some info on this?

Kamal.
For Maintenance funds please read the Paragraph 201 (i) Page 35 and 36:ii) Personal bank statements showing the payments made to the applicant: Bank statements provided must be on official bank stationery, and must show each of the payments that the applicant is claiming. If the applicant wishes to submit electronic bank statements from an online account he/ she should also provide a supporting letter from the bank on company headed paper confirming that the documents are authentic. Alternatively an electronic bank statement bearing the official stamp of the bank issuing the statements will be accepted. This stamp must appear on every page of the statement. For the purposes of this guidance an online bank account is one that operates solely over the internet and sends their bank statements to their customers electronically (for example over the internet or via email).
So, the Name issue here if for only the Electronic bank statements from an ONLINE ACCOUNT should contain all the details listed above IN GREEN like name/account/logo etc.. but for Regular accounts with official stamp on every page of the statement is accepted..201. Only the following specified documents will be accepted as evidence of this requirement:
Personal bank or building society i) statements covering three full consecutive months: The most recent statement must be dated no more than one calendar month before the date of application.
The personal bank or building society statements should clearly show:
the applicant’s name;•
the account number;•
the date of the statement;•
the financial institution’s name and logo;•
transactions covering the three month • period;
that there are enough funds present in • the account (the balance must always be at least £2,800 or £800, as appropriate) covering the three month period before the date of application;
Ad hoc bank statements printed on the bank’s letterhead are admissible as evidence (this excludes mini-statements from cash points).
If the applicant wishes to submit electronic bank statements from an online account these must contain all of the details listed above. In addition, the applicant will need to provide a supporting letter from his/her bank, on company headed paper, confirming the authenticity of the statements provided. Alternatively an electronic bank statement bearing the official stamp of the bank in question will be accepted. This stamp should appear on every page of the statement.
