Changes to HSMP Tier - 1 from April - 2010

Post by bagula_bhagat » Fri Jan 15, 2010 2:49 pm

Hi All,

I am on PSW and want to change in to HSMP in the next few months. As there were recommendation about scrapping Masters Degree requirement.

Do experienced people on this forum think that requirement would be accepted by Home Office?

If yes then how soon the notification about changes to HSMP would be published.

Thanks

There's no HSMP anymore ... it's Tier 1.

UKBA is not going to do what "we" think suits "us". Until UKBA publishes the changes, there's no point in making wild / educated guesses about the what and the when.

Relax and keep an eye on the UKBA website.

If you refer to the report bf MAC, I am certain that changes are likely to be introduced but what will be the changes or the magnitude of these changes that is completely on UKBA to decide.

While these changes might suit somebody, it might not suit other one.

I doubt it that can be implemented in next 1 months since there s lot of research required (for e.g Salary multiplier w.r.t each country is a exhaustive last) before they are introduced into the system.

April 2010 seems most probable date.

Given the situation you are in with your Tier 1 (PSW) visa, I hope, for your good, that it happens! But keep in mind that the political establishment (ruling and opposition) is focussed on making it difficult for immigrants coming into UK and also that UKBA is under no obligation to follow the recommendations made.

Explaore all possible alternatives available to you.
