Never travelled on HSMP. reapply as HSMP ext or fresh Tier1?

Hi,
I have a HSMP which expires mid 2010. I couldnt travel to UK because of the economic conditions!

Now i am planning to re initiate the process. So should I be applying under HSMP extension or should i pu ta fresh application under Tier1?

You cannot apply for extension from outside the UK. No point in entering UK on the current EC as you'll not qualify for extension of leave when the time comes (mid 2010).

Guess the only choice you have is to make a fresh Tier 1 application.
