I've just been informed that my application for my residency card is missing a dichiarazione from my husband (declaring we're still married).
It says that I can get it from a "dichiarazione sostitutiva atto notorio".
Is this different from a normal notary signature?
If it is, where can I find one?

yes, i have that form.
does it need to be done in front of a notary or someone?
due to my husband's work schedule, it's very difficult for him to travel all the way to the questura (we live a while aways from it) and hand it in himself.
could he just fill it out, sign it and then i hand it in?

No. He can do it alone. The term "sostituta" refers to that: that it substitutes an act perfemed before a notary. It is written as much on the form.
If they do not accept it you can go to the nearest ploce station. Do read the last paragraph.

to be honest, i thought you were going to blast me for being a complete idiot (which I am, btw). Especially since I write questions that are self-explainatory to others.
