Dependant Names Differ in Passport - please suggest

Post by marahman3001 » Sat Jan 23, 2010 2:02 pm

I am planning to apply first time for Dependant visa for my parents and wife at the same time. All three are in India and I am in UK on Tier 1 (general) visa received this month.

My Passport has the following details:
Fathers name: M A S
Mothers name: S B ( This name is not matching with the other passport names since she has 2 names but no documentation)

My Fathers Passport has:
His Name: M A S
My mother's name (as his spouse): N

My Mothers Passport has:
Her Name: N
My Father's name (as her spouse): M A S

My Marriage certificate has the following details:
My Fathers name: M A S
My Mothers name: N

The name of my mother in my passport does not match with the other documents. So would there be difficulty in approval of dependant visas, please suggest how to deal with this situation.

Secondly, Are they 3 applications each Rs. 54000 Fee or just one application combined with fee of Rs 54000. I wish to submit all three at a time.

Thanks for your help.

Ok
If I apply the visit visas for parents and dependent visa for my wife. Can I apply together?

Does the name mismatch affect the application?

You can apply for family visit visa for your parents and dependent visa for your spouse.

The only mismatch I can observe is that in your passport your mother's name is different than what's in her own passport. Don't think this is a problem. Don't believe this is a problem or will have any affect on their (visit) EC application. With regards to what you'll need to provide from your end to support your parents' EC application, reading this post will be useful.

No, it should not affect the outcome as it is a visitors visa

If I apply for visit visa for my parents, are they considered 2 separate applications? or one.

Why should it be considered a single application when more than one person is applying for EC? Every applicant needs to fill up the form and pay the fee (individually).
