CCNP/CCIE

Say an HSMP applicant possesses a CCNP or CCIE certification.

Is he or she likely to be able to:
(1) claim any points under Educational Background for the certification?
(2) claim Significant Achievement (particularly in the case of CCIE, as there are only 12800 of them worldwide)?

Cisco, Microsoft, Oracle or SAP certifications are not recognised for claiming points under educational background.

For Significant Achievement, check out the requirements against the documentation you can provide for your certification. Also look at the case workers guidance notes for significant achievements.

there is huge difference between ccnp and ccie. i hold ccnp and have passed written of ccie - however the real pain is the lab exam. although it won't give you any points it will land you a job when you arrive in uk...

Education points are only for Degree Certificates awarded.
CCIE/CCNP is only certification course specific to Cisco. Doesnot carry any value in eyes of Goverment/HO.
It may help you only in negotiating some more bucks.
