You call the 0870 number from the UKBA website and choose option 1 to know the status of your application.... there is no other number as far as I know ... good luck

Would they provide the status of application? I thought they only give a status only if the application is 14 weeks?

Why would you want to contact the Durham office? All they do there is ensure that payment has been made, and after satisfied as regards payment, they pass all the papers on to a "real office" who look at the application.

yes they will provide the information.... give around 6 to 8 weeks before you call for an update.....

If by "they" you mean Durham, I have to say, no they won't. As said before, all they do in Durham is ensure that payment has been received, before passing the papers to another office.
