tier2 application sent but lost debit card - need advice

Post by esal » Sat Jan 23, 2010 9:02 pm

hi ppl,

today finally i send my tier 2 application by special delievery along with my wife's application .. unfortunately later this afternoon I lost my debit card by which I was paying for my wife's visa fee ...

my visa application fee paying by cheque by employer.

since i informed bank about lost card they are going to send me new cards with changed card no and CVV no ...

can I call and give home office another card details for my wife's visa fees by phone ?

or is there any way so that they will accept another method of payment and process my wife's application along with me.

please advise,
thanks in advance.

You should have let your bank know that HO will try to deduct money with the lost details.. and ask them to allow the same so that you are safe..

I think you can still call the bank tomorrow explain things and let them know the above option..

I think it is easier to explain ur situation (visa expiry+overstay+expensive +spouse visa rejection) to Bank and ask them to pass the HO debit claim.. than trying to reach HO that too without reference no etc..

I will try to convence bank using words in brackets smartly today again n if it doesn't work will try with HO tomorrow..

wish you goodluck mate

thank you again ramesh ..

as you said called bank again and explained them everything ...
they gave nthing but sympathy .... and said once cancelled can not do anything abt card ... also said all payments done by computer n not manually so we won't know when HO going to try for this payment and bla bla ...

well if HO is not going to allow me easliy to pay by another card then I will have to ask my employer to stop Cheque so that whole application (for both ) will come back.. and then we can reapply with another card and employers cheque again .... only thing cheque payment takes quiet some days to process .... my visa will be expiring on 18th feb .. I hope if they send it soon I shud be able to reapply immediately ...
