Tier 1 General Dependent Visa processing time

Post by nsv » Sat Jan 23, 2010 11:44 pm

My wife had applied for Tier 1 general dependent visa on 12th jan from vfs, bangalore. But have not heard any response from them so far.
Has anybody faced such delays for dependent visas ?

Thanks & Regards,
nsv

I would wait 10-12 working days before I start to worry... so give BHC sometime...

VFS site is showing "Visa application is under process at the British High Commision" from the next day of application and status has not changed since then. Does it really show intermediate stages of the process or only final result would be shown ?

Hi sushdmehta,
There is no category for dependent in this table. I am not sure what EEA family category means .. is it the same ?

Thanks,
nsv

:? Well, doesn't Tier 1 (dependent) category come under in the PBS Tier 1?

That's all the information that UKBA publishes. There is no other information available on visa processing times.

I dont think Tier 1 category covers dependents. Because for primary they do lot of checks in terms of points for salary, education & maintenance. So i would think that tier 1 covers only primary.. pls correct me if wrong.

I think you should just relax and wait.

Keep an eye on the VFS tracking webpage - which will tell you when your visa is despatched by BHC to you/VFS.
