HSMP - claim earning query- PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!!

Post by gowthamdevk » Mon Jan 25, 2010 11:58 am

Hi All,

i am planning to apply for HSMP as my visa would expire on April 30th of this month.

1> i am unable to get a slot for In-Person appointment - can any one please suggest what's the best way...

2> i could see that 'Earnings must be made up of 12 consecutive months and must fall within the 15 months before your application.'
my query is that i earned from last jan till Aug approx £27,500.00 and would satisfy 100 points, will that be ok or should i need to show all of my last 12months pay slips and bank statements??

is there any letter format to explain about the point claims made in between 12months??

3> i did start my work in dec and got paid in jan for both months so will my stat period be dec or jan as my 1st pay slip is in jan.

- Is it Jan 30th???

-- Send it by POST - Royal mail Special delivery and keep the receipt because date you send your application will be considered and u need to send before your visa expires

- It is ok to use just those months from Dec 08 till Aug 2009 as long as you get enough points.. its not mandatory to use or show all those 12 consecutive months

You need to take the Earnings period of work not the date you were paid.. so mention period from Dec 08 - Aug 09
.

apply via post. in most cases you will get your visa faster this way.

technically you satisfied the conditions, therefore they would have no reason to appeal your application. If you can get statements and paysips up to dec (or at least a couple month more) you should provide them. See your application from the case worker's POV. most applicants show earnings for a full year. Then they receive your application, where earnings suddenly stop as soon as the "required amount" is reached. As caseworkers assess the overall picture of you as a person, it could impact their decision making.

I would say starting date is december. however I am not sure if it is that important, because if you are constantly employed, you could actually choose any 12 month period within the last 15 month. As long as your salary is on the bank statement and you got a matching payslip and both fall into the last 15 mont you should be fine.

pls wait for seniors to comment as well.

I would not fiddle around with original statments, i.e. I would not write on them. perhaps you can put little post-it notes on each payment but it really is not necessary and I do not think your application stands at disadvantage if you just send plain statements. From my POV an earnings explanation letter (as can be found in the stickies) is useful.

if you have the original payslips OR printed online payslips with HR Stamp and Signature, you do not need an additional letter.

heheh those things should be one of the least things to worry about. For HO I believe it makes no difference. They have a payment processing department and can handle everything streamlined. Pick the one, which allows you to check your balance online. fastest way IMO.

There have been some cases in the past where the card issuer had blocked payments as they were of large value and outside the normal spending pattern of the card holder. Whether it is Debit or Credit card option you choose, there is no harm in calling your card issuer and inform them of this large value transaction so that the card issuer can configure the systems and clear the payment automatically once it is presented.
