MN1- Details of absenses

I have got a query regarding child registration under section 1(3) of the British Nationality Act 1981.(using MN1 form)

I am intending to apply for registration of my son (4 years) who was born in London in Feb 2006. My wife, myself and son all have 'Indefinate Leave to Remain' granted to us in 2009.

Under Section 2.3 of the form -Residence requirements we need to give details of absenses from the UK for the past 3 years. Are these to be 3 years from the date of application or 3 calander years ( i.e 2010, 2009, 2008 ?

Please could someone advise ?

3 years from the date you are applying. However i dont think it actually matters for the category under which you are applying
