it has been observed that there is no thread which gives us the facility to accumulate TIMELINES of the Tier2 (G) applicant members:

So please take out some time and update your current timelines at different stages in the below basic format so that we can share info at our ends, compare our respective application timelines and help each other..

1. Employer has Sponser License (SL): - YES/ NO
2. Time Taken to get the Sponser License if you know: - No. of Weeks: -

3. Employer Issued the Certificate Of Sponsership (CoS): - YES/ NO
4. Time taken to get the CoS: - No of days: -

5. Date Application Sent to HO: - DATE
6. Fees Deducted by HO on: - DATE

7. Reference No. received from HO on: - DATE
8. Switching visa from: - Tier1 or PSW or New Application

9. Current visa status or Any Updates: - No updates yest or Under consideration
10. Visa Decison: - APPROVED/ REFUSED and Validity till....

Any updates on your visas as yet? I am in the same boat as you both, It has been 4 weeks (sent the paperwork on the 12th November)

7. Reference No. received from HO on: - not sure as application was through agent
8. Switching visa from: - Old Work Permit scheme

9. Current visa status or Any Updates: - Received back on 26th January
10. Visa Decison: - APPROVED; Validity till 15th Dec 2013

The new Tier 2 visas now require biometric details to be submitted. Adding time to the postal applications.

Hi Ramesh
could you please clarify my doubt below:
I got a job offer and the new employer sponsored me the certificate.
could you please advise me when should i inform my current employer?
Is the work permit will get cancelled automatically when I send my passport for tier 2 visa?
I need to give one month notice to my current employer, if my work permit get canceled, am i eligible to work for one month.
It would be grateful if you advise me.
