1. I do not understand u situation as u wud have ben given 4 months extra plus the time of your course work so r u saying that u did not get the 4 months.Geogy wrote:Submission of relavant documents after application
My Visa expires on the 31st of Jan and my university is willing to give the letters for my visa on the 1st of Feb as their board meets on 29th of Jan which falls on a friday. Can i send in my application with a covering letter to the case worker stating that I am sending in the letter later.
I have a letter from the university stating that they will be able to provide the visa letter only after the 31st of Jan. Can i add this letter to my covering letter as evidence
1. I wud not recommend as the OP wud not be given a right of appeal as he does not have a qualification so it will be an invalid application.Kalugampitiya wrote:If result late for PSW
1. Most secure way is to go back your home country and apply.
2. Or Apply with current documents that you have now and then simply post the exact and final result by stating case reference number, date apply, name, date of birth, passport number along with cover letter of explain.
3. Second option is bit risk as you could lose your £500. But if you reject you can appeal + do new application. By the time you will have all the documents.
4. Appeals are free of charge
5. On the day of the appeal you could say in court that you have got your degree and show the university letter giving the date of award of the degree.
6. This method would help your PSW without having to go back to the country of origin.
Please correct me if I am wrong

1. The Degree Certificate is not a problem as u can apply for PSW without certificate with extra information on the letter.Geogy wrote:Hi Thanks for your reply,
It is true that all the students from the other depts got 4 months. But my dept's exam board met very later (dec 17 to be precise) and the only letter that i got was one which says that 'I have been recommended by the board of exams for the award but the university senate is due to confirm it only by the 29th of Jan' . the letter also states that this is a confirmation from the board of examiner's recommendation for the award.
The letter also has the study dates on it.
I was wondering if i could use this letter as a proof that the certificate is not yet received and that i have passed.
and send in teh actual requirements in less than a weeks time.
You have not received your Degree result once BoE has not confirmed it.Geogy wrote:Hi guys,
thanks for your replies. today i happened to call the UKCISA (UK council for international student affairs) According to their advice, the applicant needs to prove that he has successfully completed his/her course, hence asked me to keep the letter where the exam board has recommended me for the degree and my transcripts as proof of my course completion.
