PSW dependant application whether to apply now or not?

HI everyone
I was in student visa for 2 years in UK and changed my PSW visa in May 2009, in december I got married want to bring my wife here, I maintained 533 Pounds for 3 months, I called VFS they are not clear about more than 12months living in UK 533, but less than 12 months in PSW. they are not clear about consideration of already stay in Student Visa. Plz help whether my wife need to apply or not?

what i can understand buddy what u really need is 800+533 if u have stayed in uk for more than one year on whatever visa so not just 533 but u need 800 as well then u can apply for ur wife

1. Regardless wat status u had in the past so as long as u r in the UK for more than 1 year then its £533 for dependents.

wat do you think if the dependend is not in uk. even than the sponsor keep 533 gbp for three monthns. like ppl said if the dependend is in uk less than 12 months then the maintanance amount will 1600 gbp per dependend plus 800 gbp. and if the dependent is not in uk at all. what will be in that situation?
my wife and kid is in pakistan im gonna apply their visa soon. they never been here. what you recommend. 533 each of them or 1600. and yeah 800 for me as well.

1. It does not matter if u dependents never been in the UK.
2. It all depends on u status ma8 and u need to maintain funds according to your stay in the UK (more than 12 months or less).

irrespective of stay as student or PSW, once you are here 12 months legally, then you need £533

Same rule anywhere, in UK or outside UK, is £533 for those over 12 months here in UK

fair006 is correct as ur in UK for last 12months.
