Previous Earnings

Post by parafira » Thu Jan 28, 2010 3:36 pm

Hello,

If somebody could give me an explanation it would be really appreciated.

Tier1 General Guidance document says:

"consecutive 12-month period during the 15 months"

Does it meant the earning have to be 12 months in a row, one by one?
Or I can use for example Jan - Feb 2009 + April 2009 to Jan 2009 in total 12 months with one month gap Mar 2009.

Thank you!

Yes you can.. those months you are using should be a part of the 12 consecutive months of the last 15months..

Thank you Ramesh for your reply.
You have also used a word "consequtive".
Definition for consecutive is: in succession, without interruption

So it is so confusing, that is why I want to make sure.

It's has to be betn these 12 months. You can have less than 12 months

No, that's 13 months. Either you have to exclude Jan 2010 or Jan 09.

They need not be one by one but should definitely be part of consecutive 12 months in the last 15 months. In your case it can be JAN-Feb2009 + April to Dec2009 or Feb2009 + April to Jan 2009. This is as per my understanding. Please correct me if wrong.

Just one quick question before that as GOTCHA mentioned do u want to use months from 1st Jan 2009 - 31st Jan 2010 or 1st Jan 09 to 31st Dec 09... later is 12months while the earlier is 13months.. once u sort this out..

yes consecutive means in succession without interruption.. but as u might have seen you can also use only 1month in those 12consecutive periods of the last 15months if you get enough points to qualify..

i think HO used 12consecutive because they gave a choice of 15months.. so that applicants dont misundrestand.. if consecutive is nto given that applicants will use ex. 1st months to 10th month and 14th month to 15th month.. hope u got the point..

2 gotcha,

It is 12 months, I mentioned that there was a gap of 1 month Mar 2009.

Tha is the main question. Can there be a gap in those 12 months?

2Ramesh

Here is what I want to use:

Jan09 Feb09 Apr09 May09 Jun09 Jul09 Aug09 Sep09 Oct09

Nov09 Dec09 Jan10

Total 12 months, but there are 2 months then one month gap and then 10 more moths.

Is it possible?

Thanks!

Yes, there can be. But, in this case, you will be claiming less no of months not 12.

Infact, if one earns qualifying money in 1 month, that's fine ,too.

But, claim period should not exceed 12 months.

eg. If your claim period starts Jan - 09, it can be Jan-09, March-09, May-09 , Dec-09.(4 months)

But, you cannot claim Jan -10 in this case.
