How long can i stay outside Uk under TIER1 (GEN)?
would this affect my visa?

Staying outside UK might not affect your visa but might affect your ILR. The time you can spend outside UK without affecting your ILR is 180 days (i think). There are a lot of discussions on this issue in the ILR section. Link for one of the threads.
