maintenance funds

Post by salman83 » Sun Jan 31, 2010 3:56 pm

Hi all,

I am applying for extension under Tier 1 general (currently i was on hsmp). I have question regarding maintenance funds. In the policy guide document, under maintenance funds, point no. 195 it says that in ur bank 800 GBP must remain for at least 3 consecutive months. So for total funds minimum i have to show is 800 GBP in total for 3 months.

Also, I have another question regarding this statement from policy guidance.

The most recent statement must be dated no more than one calendar month before the date of application.

So, if I am applying in middle of april, then I have to show the bank statements of Jan, Feb and Mar only for maintenance funds.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Regards.

The minimum 800Pounds shd be in ur account for 3months before u apply each n everyday not even going down by 1pence..

and when u apply for visa on that day ur 3months latest bankstatements should fall within 1month time

Thanks tvn_ramesh for the reply. It is very much appreciated.

Can you please clarify this statement as I am confused over here.

and when u apply for visa on that day ur 3months latest bankstatements should fall within 1month time

So this means that I have to submit three calendar months of bank statement (i.e. whole month, not starting from some date in the middle of the month).

Am I right?

Thanks in advance.

It can be from any date. For example, 14Jan-13Feb is considered as a whole month. If you are applying on the 13Feb then the date of the bank statement should not be later than 14Jan.

Maintenance funds need not be calender months.. it can be any date in a month like ex: 13th oct 09 to 12-jan10 and u can apply ur application on or before 12th February 10..

and in the above case ur latest bankstatement is dated 12th jan 10..
