Tier 1 to ILR -- Please help

Hi

I have a Tier 1 General Migrant Visa from 20 May 2008 - 20 May 2011.

I went to India for some personal reasons on 15th Aug 08 and came back to UK on 11th Feb 09. This makes 180 days in total.

I know that this has affect my application to apply for ILR. Does this means that my continuous stay for 5 years will be counted from 11th Feb 09 onwards?

If it is yes, then after the end of 5th year what Visa do I need to apply for?

Is there any alternative.

Can you apply for Tier 1 Extension twice?

I mean i will be applying for Tier 1 Extension in 2011, can I apply it again in 2013?

Under current laws, you can apply for FLR as many times as you want. Applying for ILR is a "choice" not a compulsion.

As sush mentioned..

You can keep extending your current visa (unless rules change) even after u are eligible for ILR..
