US Tourist Visa - Waiting for Decision

Post by shiv17 » Mon Feb 01, 2010 2:04 pm

Hello All,

I am a Indian Passport holder. I am working in UK on HSMP Visa.

I applied for tourist visa for USA 20th Jan 2010. The interview was fine.
But the Interviewer said that he need to confirm something and that can't be done and that time so he will keep our passport and give the decision in 2-3 working days. They gave us a status no. We also paid for the courier to get the passport back.

Now it has been more then 7 working days and strange thing is I can't find my status no. on there status list.

Me and my spouse has never rejected any visa for USA. The interview asked us that question few times. So I feel they have the query of that which they want to confirm ..

Any Suggestions ??

You can try calling their premium number. If your documents were genuine then you will be fine. Did you check with your employer if they called them to varify your job?
