TIMELINE AFTER NATURALISATION APPLICATION SUBMISSION

HI All

Question: If the registrar has yr cetificate, is it possible to book and do your ceremony before getting the approval letter?


HO told me that a letter was sent to me on 2/02/2010. guess i have to wait four days now, but am also going to call the council on friday to see if they got anything for me and then if they do, i am going to try book a private ceremony the same day.



I AM SO ANXIOUS, ALSO THANKS TO ALL HERE CAUSE JUST COMING HERE EVERYDAY GIVES ME HOPE WHICH IS VERY COMFORTING.

It depends upon registrar, they know the anxiety and are usually helpful.
No harm in trying, BTW how do you know that HO has posted the letter, as they usually tell you that case is under consideration or waith for six months bla bla bla...

I rang HO and they told me that a decision letter was sent out to me on the 02/02/2010, cause last week when i rang they told me that my application was completed and a decision was made. to make contact with them you just need to call the 0151 number and do option, 3-1-2

you are not alone. i also do the same thing and i supose most of us even everyone knows it wont make any difference to their application. Besides, you got my acknowledgement letter just a day before mine. so we got same time line eventhough we got different case.

Update on my status. Got a bit impatient and called the HO for a status update. They said my application is yet to be assigned to the case team but it shouldn't take too long.

Not sure what to make of that. Application Joint AN plus MN1 under HSMP JR and was received on 13/01 with payment charged on 18/01, so 17 days since payment.

Any idea / guesses on what background checks they have to make before the application gets to a caseworker.

We are all in same boat. However we are a bit lucky than our elders that naturalisation is being decided in most cases with in 5-6 weeks rather than months - years. I myself am very anxious but my anxiety will shoot after 6 weeks of wait. I just keep visiting this board to know the timeline of people as this gives a idea of pace of working of home office.
BTW i also phoned the guys @ HO on tuesday same answer : wait 6 months, but i am sure this is policy waiting time good news will come next week by 2nd Class post.

I have analysed a lot of timelines. The average time for approval is 36 days after submission and 23 days after acknowledgement. Just adds a bit a stress to the applicant when your application starts to exceed the average timelines.

I received confirmation from my local town hall that they have received my 'certificates of citizenship' from the Home Office and alongside that inviting me to select one of two dates in early March for the ceremony. I had contacted them a couple of days ago via email on the off chance that they would get the approval before me, and that has indeed proven the case. I have yet to receive the confirmation (nothing in today's post). I've found everyone throughout the process thus far, Southwark Council NCS, Fulham Town Hall, etc. to be highly professional, courteous and efficient. I'll probably end up doing a private ceremony tomorrow to just get a move on, instead of waiting till March.

@Joelondon, hope others have already answered your query about their NCS experiences - sorry I was tardy in mine.

@Mohamed Mourad - our timelines were similar and hope you will draw encouragement from this and other similar approvals. Waiting is one of the most trying things but do hang in there, stoically, if you can. INSHALLAH the approval will be with you before you know it.

hello all of you guys ....I'm here with you ..with all my heart and prayer ....i

wish for everyone the best , good and happy ending of their journey....I'm

here everyday ...reading and re-reading those post ...and wishing that one

day it will be me ...as m about to apply soon ...but very confused on what

document i need to use to replace my lost p60 of 2003-04-05-06-07....its a

shame ...i know ...but if anyone of you guys can guide me on trying to find a

different way of showing or proving my lawful resident for the last past 5

years ..that would be very helpful ...

option 1 : can i go back to my previous employee and ask them for a copy of my p60 ?? is it possible ???

option 2 : can i ask my employee for a letter of employer showing that i covered that year and month working for them ???

option 3 : ask the tax office to send me the work history of all those year ..( but that again take ages )

option 4 : i searched the web and found out that they can issue me with an original p60 ...or kind of copy ..if i give them details of my previous work .

honestly ..i need someone experience to comment on this topic as m lost right now ..and m about to apply soon...plz help anyone ..

Dont worry about the employers letters if you dont have ones, your HO WP/HSMP/ILR letter should be sufficient, you can take other things like P60 etc.
Actually this would be simplest application for UK HO till now for your nationality journey.
