10 weeks wait for Tier 1...and still waiting :(

Post by Mona212 » Thu Feb 04, 2010 5:07 pm

Hi, i submitted my application via post to the home office here in the UK on the 30th of November, payment was taken on d 2nd of December, acknowledgement letter received on the 7th of December....and i'm still waiting. Contacted HO a week before my visa ran out and was told that as long as they've got my passport/application, i'm legally permitted to remain in d country. The wait is killing me!!
Is anyone else having a similar problem???
Ideas/Comments/Suggestions are all welcome!!!
Thank U in advance!

I guess you will have to continue to wait till you are allowed to call and obtain status on the phone. Is yours a straight forward case?

When earning from outside UK (plus in UK combined) is involved in an application, i think the HO takes their time as they will make sure they verify the case completely before going ahead.. which country is the other earnings from apart from UK?

Agree with Ramesh. This is not a straight forward application. As there are multiple countries involved, this could be causing the delay. Sit tight and keep your fingers crossed.

I just asked this becos recently HO is very strict in their verification from few countries.. untill they get a clear reply on ur case from the employer they will keep it in waiting list.. i know few members here from nigeria n pakistan had along wait i forgot their names...

so if you are sure you have provided wat HO asked for and everything is in order.. just stay calm and be patience.. u shd be fine.. Goodluck

It may help if you call the employer/company in Nigeria and let them know that you have applied... and that HO may contact them for verification. They may have already received the call/email from HO in which case ask for their response.
