Maintanence Fund - 1600 or 533?

Post by adc055 » Sat Feb 06, 2010 4:43 pm

Hi all

I have been in UK for almost 5 years now in combination of WP (2 yrs), HSMP(2 yrs) + Tier 1 General (9 months). I am now a Tier 1 General Visa hold for 9 months.

I am trying to help my partner to get a dependent visa but I am having issues with the funding requirment as stated in the guidence. My partner is now also in UK with me under Tier 1 PSW visa, we both have lived together for more than 4 years.

I understand she has to go back her home country to apply for dependent Entry Clearance. Questions is that ,
What is the maintanence requirement for my case? 1600 pounds or 533 pounds for last three months for each dependent?

Thanks

Kun

thanks

As I have already been in UK, she applies seperately from her origin, do I still need that 800 for myself?

Let me make it clearer,
1) Bank statement of main application (myself) - I still need 800 + 533 = 1333 for past three months?
2) Bank statement of my partner - she needs 533 or more for her own support for last three months?

Thanks for help.

I am awaiting your reply as she needs to switch into my tier 1 dependent so that we can apply ILR together.

Regards,

Kun

You can show 800 (for main applicant i.e. - Tier 1 migrant) from your own account or a joint account (with you two as account holders), and 533 (for Tier 1 migrant's) can be either from your account or the dependent's account or even from the joint account.

You can provide evidence of funds in multiple bank accounts as long as the above conditions are met.

You can show 800 for yourself and 533 for dependent from your own/ joint account

or

800 from your own/ joint account and 533 from your dependents account
