Dont worry if you think you submitted all the docs rightly as per the HO requirement.. different cases take different time based on different caseworkers time taking.. if you sent ur application on 11th Jan.. i again think its too early to panic.. keep cool and things shd be fine..

Here is the link where you can check these news.

I am
not sure whether this is correct info. Normally it shows one month old dates for processing.
Cheers,
akb.
That is your only source of timeline updates from UKBA.. we have to take it or leave it..
Untill one week back, it was showing processing applications received upto Dec29th. I really doubt that HO processed all those applications received in Jan10 in one week (or that the number of applications went down so much in Jan10). So just want to inform to the group (especially those who are awaiting visa like me) to not get excited about this date. Most probably the date will be corrected some time later in this week.
Cheers,
akb.
Just to update you guys..
HO has corrected their mistake now.
Waiting times
This page gives details of the processing time for applications made under Tier 1 (General) of the points-based system.
During the week commencing 8 February 2010, we expect to be considering applications that were received on or before 15 January 2010. Please note that this timescale is a guideline only, and some cases may take longer to consider.
Please be aware that the customer contact centre is currently experiencing very high call demand and therefore you may experience difficulties in contacting us. We apologise for this and for any inconvenience it may cause you.

No response yet...This wait is killing me... I haven't attached a pre-addressed special delivery envelope
Does this usually take more than 30 days?? Seeing applicants who have submitted later than me receiving docs...im too scared now..God help!

First of all do not compare each day with other applicants.. because each case is different and the CW handling it is different and some applications are very staright forward and others are little less or more..
As per my observation even when i went for switching visa from WP to Tier1(G).. my WP application took longer time than those HSMP/Tier1 extension applications.. it took me around 1week more..
So as long as you know you application is straight forward and you have submitted all the required docs.. stay put and dont worry..

hi syl,
As ramesh suggested, it might take more time based on the case.
Are you self employed?

ok - the guidance notes says that they send your documents back by post. if you wanted special delivery you need to send a prepaid satchel.

I think they will send the documents back by Recorded Delivery if you have not enclosed a Prepaid special delivery envelope. So, dont worry.

*I had issue with the old phographs and HO informed me thru e-mail on 02-Feb 2010 stating "I am contacting you with regards to your Tier 1 application which is currently under consideration. The passport photographs supplied are too old as they are the same as those supplied with your previous leave to remain application on November 2009. The photograph guidance stipulates that the passport photographs you supply should be no more than one month old."
Good luck guys who is waiting for their stamping. It may take some time but don't worry it should be fine.
Cheers,
the tech guy
