Hi All,

Type: Tier 1 (G)
Application Sent: 27-01-10 (Royal Mail Special Delivery)
Application Received: 28-01-10 (Royal Mail online Tracker service)
Payment Method: Barclays Visa Debit Card (Business)
Payment Deducted: Not yet

I even called to Home Office, the lady on the fone said " Our system can tell you about any status of your application only if it has elpased more than 14 weeks of your application, otherwise we cannot tell you anything abt it. There is no set time scale for the deduction of payments.Just make sure by Royal Mail that your application has reached to us before your visa get expired."

Many regards

Nothing for me as well. it has been 8 days for me too. Posted my application on 28th Jan. Checked with bank, but they do not see any pending transaction. I think (as others are also experiencing the same delay), Home office guys are taking their own sweet time to process application even in lack of application backlogs ! What is more frustrating is that that they leave us with no choice but to wait for whooping 14 weeks before even tracking your application. Well that's called efficiency !!!!!!!!

quoting from the HO website..
During the week commencing 8 February 2010, we expect to be considering applications that were received on or before 15 January 2010. Please note that this timescale is a guideline only, and some cases may take longer to consider.
However, last weekend it said:
During the week commencing 1 February 2010, we expect to be considering applications that were received on or before 29 January 2010. Please note that this timescale is a guideline only, and some cases may take longer to consider.
so you can imagine, they are having a perfect travel back in time

That is your only source of timeline updates from UKBA.. we have to take it or leave it..
Untill one week back, it was showing processing applications received upto Dec29th. I really doubt that HO processed all those applications received in Jan10 in one week (or that the number of applications went down so much in Jan10). So just want to inform to the group (especially those who are awaiting visa like me) to not get excited about this date. Most probably the date will be corrected some time later in this week.

Cheers,
akb.
Just to update you guys..
HO has corrected their mistake now.

Waiting times

This page gives details of the processing time for applications made under Tier 1 (General) of the points-based system.

During the week commencing 8 February 2010, we expect to be considering applications that were received on or before 15 January 2010. Please note that this timescale is a guideline only, and some cases may take longer to consider.

Please be aware that the customer contact centre is currently experiencing very high call demand and therefore you may experience difficulties in contacting us. We apologise for this and for any inconvenience it may cause you.

Applied for Tier 1 extension on 28th Jan from UK. Royal mail confirms delivery for 29th Jan.

Fees not yet deducted. After checking this forum, I am bit relaxed. However I am not sure if Visa Debit Card could be used for payment as I did not see that option on the form. Unfortunately I saw that after sending my Visa debit card details in the application. Fingers crossed !

Thanks
Friends,

I can see the payment deducted from my bank account. Here are my application details.

Post Date : 28th Jan
Application received: 29th Jan
Payment processed: 10th Feb

Takes approximate 10 days as others have also mentioned. Hang in tight.

Cheers

Mine got deducted today guys

Post by mr_arunanand » Wed Feb 10, 2010 10:22 pm

Hey Guys,
I m relived mine got deducted today!

Application Received: 1st Feb
Money Deducted: 10th Feb

Check your online and you should see the Available Balance (not the Balance) deducted. If not then shud be in next few days for guys who applied during the same time as myself.

But it is quite slow though - quite frustrating considering our Passports are stuck in a way...

It is for sure quite frustrating - and its not just the fees, the HO is overall lazy nowadays. My account was debited on 5th of February - been 5 working days since then :( no sign of reference letter

Hang in there, I had almost the same timeline and just this morning I see that my "available balance" online has gone down by the right amount...should be on the statement tomorrow.

Finally!

Post by Joyo » Fri Feb 12, 2010 2:30 pm

UPDATE: Checked my bank balance this morning, the available balance has gone down by the correct amount!

Timeline now looks like:

Application date: 1-Feb-2010 (possibly 2nd Feb)
Application received: 2nd Feb (possibly 3rd)
Payment deducted : 12 February
Acknowledgment letter date: Not received

Once my solicitor is back, I will confirm. But it was 7 or 8 working days for my payment to be deducted, so hang in there everyone!
