Successful Tier 1 Application

Hi All,

I applied for Tier 1 from VFS Bangalore on 15th January 2010. Finally got the passport stamped with 3 years visa on 11th February 2010.

Thanks a lot to tvn_ramesh and others who has helped me in answering my queries and guiding me with the application.

My visa starts from 15th April 2010 and I understand to be eligible for ILR, I have to enter the UK before 28 days from the start of my visa.

balak2, congrats! Did you tell them that you want the visa to start on April 15th or they picked that date?

Thanks. I had mentioned my travel date in the application form as 15th April and hence the start date of my visa is 15th April 2010.

I believe generally you can ask the start date of your visa for a maximum of 3 months from the date of your application.
