No, it doesn't need to be in the same field..

Sorry to hijack , but i read in another thread that a application was rejected since bachelors evidence was not provided. Is the same required for indian applicatns (passing out from india) ? i.e both bachelors & masters need to be given ?

Victor..

Please read Page 31, Paragraph 170 of the Tier1 General Policy Guidance..

which says..
170. There are three ways in which an applicant can show he/she meets the English language requirement. The applicant can:
be a national of a majority English speaking country; or
pass an English language test detailed in this guidance; or
hold a degree that was taught in English and is equivalent to a United Kingdom bachelor’s degree or above.
But having said that i also agree that based on how recently the BHC n UKBA are being stupidly strict

like recent rejecting even after submitting marriage certificate saying there is no proof u were at the place of marriage..etc..

please try to play safe and submit both bachelor n masters degree...

Thank you yasa!

A couple more silly questions.

There clearly is a difference between financial years and education years.
For a year of earnings go from 01-feb-09 to 31-jan-2010.

But usually colleges/universities in india begin around June/July

My dillema now is
My course began at June/July 2004 and exams were in Apr 2006.
The degree was awarded in Jan 2007 , results were announced in Sept 06.

So what should be my course duration ?
- 2 years or less than 3
- 1 year or less than 2

The Year of award should be 2006 ( results declaration) or 2007 as put in the degree certificate.

I am sorry guys , very basic yet confusion causing questions..
