Annual police registration !!!

Hello there

Just wondering if anyone has received a letter regarding police registration and yearly check. I got a letter recently which seemed quite generic, asking if I could visit to provide evidence of address, bills etc, as well as letter from employer or work permit/ or from Uni for those who are students.( despite the fact I am on HSMP/Tier1 not Work permit and none of my circumstances has changed).

I have already done so, and while there I enquired if this is a new requirement, and I was told in some regions they do yearly check.

I could not find anything regarding this new thing on BIA/HO websites, and just wondering if anyone else had the same.
