FLR and age points, early extension (3 months)

Post by T1_Mainframe » Mon Feb 15, 2010 11:25 pm

Hi all,

My current Tier1 (G) will expire in first week of October 2010 and birth month is July (second week). I will fall short by 5 points if I have to apply extension after the birthday. UKBA website encourages applicants to apply for FLR/extension within 28 days from visa expiry.

Would it be safe to apply in first week of July, 3 months earlier than the expiry? Would I have to provide any reason for early extension?

Thanks for reading and replying,
TM

It has been observed that there are many applicants who applied 3-4months earlier then their expiry period.. so it is fine to apply in July and u dont need to give any reasoning..

Yes, HO recommends to apply for extension 28days before expiry

I have successfully applied for extension to Tier1 on 20th Oct,2009 for the visa expiring on 03/03/2010.

You should be fine with the application.

Alladin, Did you mention any reason for early extension? What was that? Please share if wasn't personal. Thanks.

You will be alright.. just apply and you will get the visa provided you score required points.

I do qualify provided I apply 3 months early to gain 5 points for age.
