Advice needed for ILR being on WP

Hi,

I am in UK since Dec-2006 under workpermit. In Oct-2008 I changed the employer and switched to another company on new workpermit, which is valid untill Oct-11.

I have a bachelor degree so I think I can not switch to Tier1 general.

Will my stay be counted for ILR? Or I am not eligible?

What if I switch to Tier2 on Oct-11 for 3 months before I am due for ILR?

2. No problem, if proper procedures are followed by your employer and you.

You can go for extension/new of your WP/Tier2(G) anytime (if required) as long as you make sure there is no gap between the switching of jobs and Visa Validity..
