Maintenance Funds: dependents are not travelling with you!

Post by breeza » Tue Feb 23, 2010 6:36 am

Please Help!!
I want to apply for the Tier 1 general visa and I want my wife and kids to join me in about 2 years time when my wife has completed her degree. Do I need to show proof of maintenance funds for them even though they will be joining me later or I just need 2800 for myself. Will I then be allowed to apply for them when I get to the UK before the two years have elapsed? [/img]
Thanks Siva. Do I need to state the reason why I am not traveling with my wife and kids. On part 7 of the VAF9 form or include a letter stating my reasons or just leave it as it is?

Hi

I suggest to give the details of your dependents in the VAF form and also
include in Part 7 that they you are not applying for them at this moment hence not maintaing funds for them.

Actually i Did the same.

Siva

Siva:
Goodluck keep me posted on your outcome.
On your qualifications: did you send your undergraduate certificates with your Masters certificates? Do they want to verify your academic progression?

Hi

Masters would be fine for qualification.
but if you are using bachlors degree to claim points for English language
then you need to submit both.

Siva
