Hi It is my firsttime application,

My solicitor is telling to wait till they reply, some people are telling that it will take 12weeks if it is gone for verification. It is 9 weeks before I applied

Home office said in the acknowledge reciept not to phone them about the application unless we need passport in emergency

I really dont know what to do now
What you are planning to do?

was it your extension or a first time application?
have you thought of speaking to any immigration lawyer?

Does anyone know of any immigration lawyer who has been successful in such cases.

If they are earned according to your visa conditions (20 hours per week only during term time), then I think they can be taken into account. But, with just 20 hours per week will you manage to get enough points for previous earnings?

Note> This sticky is for a specific purpose. It would be much appreciated if you can start a new thread with your question

Im am not to sure myself, Is your solicitor an immigration solicitor, who has fought rejection and apeal cases in the past and does he have a good track record, as i am planning to consult with some experts in that field and be ready incase i am confronted with a situation like that ..

I am still a bit positive coz everything we did is genuine,

And what do you think, How will be the chances if it is under verification?

Hi Guys,

Glad to inform that I got Tier 1 extension approved for me and dependant today. Timelines

Visa expiry : 20/02
Application Sent via SD: 25/01
Application Recvd at HO: 26/01
Card trans.n : 03/02
Ref No Recvd : 05/02
Extra docs sent : 06/02
Visa Approved : 25/02
Passport Recvd via SD: 27/02
Validity : 25/02/2013

I was worried a little initially as I had sent the same set of photographs that I had used for initial application. And then as per the suggestion of tvn_ramesh, I sent across a newer set with the reference no. Thankfully they considered the newer set and I got the visa for myself and spouse valid for another 3 years without any problems. I am very grateful to everyone who contributes to this forum, especially tvn_ramesh. The wealth of information and advice available here makes the application process so much more easier for everyone.

Great job guys !

All the very best to everyone !

Regards

urgent question for a friend

Post by solomon » Sun Feb 28, 2010 12:16 am

Hello everyone. Got a friend that want to extend her HSMP in march as the initial will expire in April. She just got married and the husband reside in Dublin, Ireland. Husband is not an Irish citizen but a temporary resident. she want to if she can add her husband as her dependent when applying for extension. The husband normally comes around to UK on visitor's visa. Every suggestion will be appreciated. thanks

NO, Her husband should also be currently on the same type of Visa (as dependent) to go for extension ;

wat she can do is once her visa is extended her hubby can apply for dependents visa from there..

I am still waiting for application sent on 4th Feb.

I have heard that the processing time earlier (appln sent in Nov/ Dec) was approximately 3 weeks which has increased to min 4-5 weeks now.

Even I am feeling the same! Since last 2 weeks, the applications have moved only by 6 days which use to move by 7 days every week - so its really slow off late.
